For 2018, Francisco takes over as director of the, newly renamed, John Sisko Artist Assistantship Program where SU students are hired as assistants for local artists. All made possible by the John Sisko Foundation. As a neighbor, Francisco has been an advocate of Pratt Center for students seeking technical studio spaces and has donated art to the annual auction. Francisco’s creative work has in the last three years transitioned from figurative based painting to sculptural work that delves into a confluence between apocalyptic prepping, the aesthetics of war, and indigenous agriculture. His most recent exhibition “Loaves and Fishes” was at 4 Culture Gallery, a collection of Paleolithic animal traps and Modernism inspired hunting and gathering implements. Francisco is excited to help with continuing the tradition of Pratt Fine Arts Center.
